This event has now ended. You can rewatch the webinar below, or visit our YouTube channel for all other webinars.

As we navigate into an uncertain future, the need to remain at the forefront of manufacturing innovation has never been greater.

  • Adopt and integrate new innovations (incl. robotics and automation)
  • Navigate the digital transformation journey
  • Make significant savings

The free support is available through the Scottish Government’s £15.8m Advancing Manufacturing Challenge Fund projects. This webinar will focus on the following projects:

Aerospace digital visualisation suite

Aimed at helping manufacturers in the West of Scotland, Speaker Brian Ronald of South Ayrshire council will outline how cutting-edge virtual reality, augmented reality and digital visualisation can be utilised to aid smaller manufacturers in expanding their presence in the aerospace and space supply chain and adopting new innovations and technologies.

North Lanarkshire manufacturing innovation hub

With a focus on supporting manufacturing companies in Greater Glasgow and the Clyde Valley area, speaker Barry Skea from New College Lanarkshire will discuss the practical, industry-specific business support and academic/partner agency expertise available at the North Lanarkshire Manufacturing Innovation Hub.

The hub is home to a state-of-the art robotics and automation training facility with easily transportable universal collaborative robots (inc. six-axis robotic arms with adaptive grippers), polyscope software, mechatronics systems with power line communication, and Industry 4.0 technology. This hub offers a huge opportunity to increase the efficiency, speed, and adaptability of your manufacturing processes.

Online digital manufacturing & leadership CPD programme

Helping Scottish companies from across the manufacturing community, regardless of location or industry, integrate technology into their manufacturing processes with services including one-to-one bespoke support to develop learning plans and training events in digital manufacturing.

You will find out what help is available to your business, not only at a local level through these projects but also how this connects to national support available through the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland.
