Recruit a trainee for free
Are you a Scottish manufacturer with a work-based project that’s been on hold due to a lack of funding and resource? Why not apply for a fully paid trainee as part of our graduate training programme.
The programme offers people who are aged twenty-five and over, have experience working in STEM subjects, and have faced redundancy as a result of the pandemic, an opportunity to undertake a fully paid, short term work placement within the NMIS Group, or an affiliated manufacturing company.
The placements are fully paid via the Scottish Government’s National Transition Training Fund and we are now looking for manufacturing companies that can offer a number of placement opportunities – at no cost to them, giving candidates vital work experience, helping them learn new skills, and kick-start a career within the world of advanced manufacturing.
Work is currently underway recruiting both individuals and companies. We will match candidates to a role within a company that focuses on a required skillset, which could be anything from new product development to research, digital manufacturing, materials expertise, designing and prototyping electronic and embedded systems, and more.
How to apply
We are looking for companies from across Scotland to take part and are particularly keen to hear from companies that are geared towards new and emerging fields within manufacturing.
If you are able to offer a placement opportunity, please complete the online form and provide us with a short video that tells applicants a bit about who you are, the company, and the type of role that may be available.
This will allow us to shortlist candidates and match you with individual applicants that have relevant experience and are located close to where you are located. We will contact you if you qualify for the next stage of the application process - an online meetup.
If you have any questions please contact nmis-gms-enquiries@strath.ac.uk
