Course Summary

This training course is designed to teach delegates the basic principles of using Revit as an architectural design tool. Working from concept through to construction documentation phase. 

The following topics will be covered in this course: 

  • Building information modelling
  • Exploring the user interface
  • Starting a project 
  • Basic drawing and editing tools 
  • Adding columns
  • Drawing and modifying walls
  • Adding and modifying doors & windows
  • Loading door & window types
  • Creating curtain walls, grids & panels
  • Creating views
  • Creating floors & opening 
  • Adding components 

 

During this course, participants will:  

  • Efficiently navigate revit’s interface.
  • Set up and manage architectural projects.
  • Create and modify building components.
  • Produce detailed documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with other project stakeholders.

No previous CAD experience is necessary. However, architectural design, drafting or engineering experience is highly recommended.
