Course Summary

Delivered by our partner TMS, this one day online course will introduce SOLIDWORKS, a complete 3D software tool that will let you create, simulate, publish, and manage your data. SOLIDWORKS products are easy to learn and use, and work together to help you design products better, faster, and more cost-effectively. The SOLIDWORKS software focusses on ease-of-use and allows more engineers, designers and other technology professionals than ever before to take advantage of 3D in bringing their designs to life.

SOLIDWORKS Standard 3D CAD Design Software delivers robust 3D design capabilities, performance, and ease-of-use.

This one day online course will provide a comprehensive introduction to moving from 2D to 3D and, will guide you through the first use of SOLIDWORKS mechanical design automation software, giving you the ability to build parametric models of parts and create simple drawings of those parts and assemblies.

A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of this course.

By the end of this course, you will have knowledge of: 

  • SOLIDWORKS basics and the user interface
  • Instroduction to sketching
  • Basic part modelling
  • Working with drawings

This course is suited to people who are new to SOLIDWORKS, engineers and or designers transitioning from 2D to 3D.
