Photogrammetry, design and augmented reality for manufacturers: providing a quick response to industry challenges

This event has now ended. You can rewatch the webinar below, or visit our YouTube channel for all other webinars.
NMIS Insights is a series of online and face-to-face seminars from the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS).

Technical breakthroughs in recent years have propelled photogrammetry into a quick and cost effective technique for 3D-modelling buildings and structures.

For manufacturers this provides numerous opportunities for reverse engineering non critical/legacy components for remanufacture or redesign, and a low cost way to access virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technology for training and marketing purposes.

During this insightful webinar hosted by the AFRC's digital manufacturing team you will learn more about photogrammetry and the many benefits that it can bring your business by witnessing real life examples of this highly accessible modelling technique.

Taking you through the whole process from image capture, to modelling and integrating it into VR and AR using easily accessible software, you will leave the session feeling inspired and ready to take the next steps into photogrammetry.

Aimed manufacturing managers, key decision-makers and anyone looking to learn more about photogrammetry, this webinar will provide an overview of the tools and techniques that you will need to get started, and further information on where you can learn more.
